If you’ve ever fancied a few rounds of golf and a great booze-up with a whole load of celebrities, there’s still time to grab your place at the first Matt Haycox Foundation celebrity golf tournament. But be quick – it’s filling up fast!

We’re raising funds for the Matt Haycox Foundation, which I set up to help support seriously ill children and their families. It’s a great cause, and the ethos of the foundation is to provide so much more than the run of the mill charity fundraisers – it’s guaranteed to be a brilliant event, and not to be missed!

We’ve got an amazing venue in the Mere Golf Resort in Cheshire, and even if you’re not a golfer, there’ll be so much going on with all the VIP guests, and fun well into the night. I recently played in a similar event with Ronan Keating, so thought it would be great to bring the same type of event to the north of England – but obviously with the ‘Matt Haycox’ additions! There will be great sport, great food and incredible entertainment, and for the golfers, a chance to play 18 holes on one of the best courses in the north.

We’re hoping this will become an annual event, which this year will be held on 27th September. If you want to get involved, you can either enter a team, or sponsor the event. 4 ball team entries start at £500 (for £1500 you can have a celeb join your team), and sponsorship packages from £1000. We’ve been talking to lots of organisations and high profile individuals who are getting involved, and it’s a brilliant way to raise funds for such an important reason.

As you might know, I set up the Matt Haycox Foundation after a chance meeting with the family of Alfie Stalley, who needed a life-changing operation to walk unaided after being diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Seeing the difference we helped to make for Alfie was one of the most rewarding and humbling moments of my life.

So if you too want to help change children’s live, AND have a brilliant time in the process, what are you waiting for – get your team together!
